2026 FIFAe Canadian Team: Player Selection
Esport Canada is accepting applications and nominations for elite Rocket League players to represent Canada in the 2026 FIFAe World Cup Series. We are seeking high-performance competitors who embody technical excellence, tactical intelligence, and a steadfast commitment to integrity and professional conduct. Candidates must demonstrate the world-class proficiency and maturity required of a National Team player, alongside a dedication to creating safe, inclusive, and elite sporting environments.
The Selection Process
Our selection process is designed to ensure technical accuracy and organizational accountability:

Phase 1 - March 16–23, 2026: Applications & Nominations - Open call for qualified candidates meeting Tier 1 RLCS performance standards.

Phase 2 - March 24-March 26, 2026: Technical Review - The Head Coach, Team Manager, and Technical Advisors will review candidates against a standardized rubric.

Phase 3 - March 27-April 9, 2026: Shortlist & Interviews - Up to six (6) candidates will be contacted for interview.

Phase 4 - April 10, 2026: Ratification - The National Team Committee will present final recommendations to the Board of Directors for formal appointment.
Eligibility

Tier 1 Standing: Recent Top 16 (or equivalent) placement in an RLCS Regional, Major, or World Championship within the last 24 months.

Technical Proficiency: Documented elite-level mechanics, rotational efficiency, and "Best-of-7" LAN experience.

Reliability: Proven track record of coachability and professional team integration based on references.

Public Diplomacy: Professional conduct across all public and social media platforms in alignment with the Esport Canada Code of Conduct and ethics.

Esport Canada is officially accepting applications and nominations for the position of Team Canada Head Coach for the 2026 FIFAe World Cup Series. This is a high-performance leadership role responsible for the tactical direction, athlete selection, and international representation of Canada on the world stage. We are seeking a dedicated professional who embodies technical excellence, strategic planning, and a commitment to a safe, inclusive sporting environment.
The Selection Process
Our selection process is designed to ensure technical accuracy and organizational accountability:

Phase 1 - March 5–13, 2026: Applications & Nominations - Open call for qualified candidates meeting Tier 1 RLCS performance standards.

Phase 2 - March 14-March 17, 2026: Technical Review - A panel of Selection Advisors and Committee Members will review candidates against a standardized rubric.

Phase 3 - March 18-22, 2026: Shortlist & Interviews - Up to three (3) candidates will be contacted for interview, focusing on strategic planning, culture, and national representation.

Phase 4 - March 23, 2026: Ratification - The National Team Selection Committee presents a final recommendation to the Board of Directors for formal appointment.
Eligibility

Tier 1 Competitive Experience: Demonstrated success coaching at the RLCS Tier 1 level, specifically defined as achieving [e.g., Top 16/Group Stage] placement in a North American Open or equivalent International Major.

National Ecosystem Knowledge: Proven experience working with and developing Canadian-based athletes within the North American competitive circuit.

Technical Authority: A documented history of leadership and "Player-First" management, evidenced by professional references and a positive reputation within the high-performance community.

Public Diplomacy: A proven track record of professional conduct in public forums and social media, aligning with the Esport Canada Code of Conduct and Ethics.
