Esport Canada x Director of Performance
Winnipeg, Manitoba - Esport Canada is proud to announce Landon Gorbenko as their new Director of Performance. Landon’s experience and expertise within the field of mental and physical performance, along with his focus on holistic player development and cutting-edge research, make him an invaluable addition to the Esport Canada executive team.
Landon currently works with professional teams such as Astralis and Shopify Rebellion as a performance coach, helping to develop and enhance the skills of players through research-based training and strategy. He is also completing a Ph.D. at the University of Montreal, studying esports performance, and is the founder of Carbon Esports, a Canadian-made player development program for up-and-coming Canadian talent.
Providing access to coaching and development resources for players that have aspirations to pursue collegiate or professional esports, the vision of Carbon Esports is to innovate the way players train by merging game coaching with mental and physical sport science to elevate Canadian players to the international stage.

"Canada has incredible amounts of passionate and talented people that want to be part of the esport industry but we lack the resources and infrastructure to create opportunity for them. Esport Canada is laying that foundation to help build our ecosystem and I am honored to be able to help contribute to that vision."

Landon goes on to say "Canada is fragmented when it comes to esports. My goal with Esport Canada is to help unify all the amazing voices, organizations, and individuals that are spread throughout the country so that we, as a country, can build our ecosystem together."
